🤖 OpenAI rolls out GPT-5 and it’s already stirring the pot

Just yesterday (August 7, 2025), OpenAI pulled the curtain back on ChatGPT-5. In the last gauntlet, finalists nailed 77% of vulnerabilities and fixed 61% of them - way up from an early-round 37% detection rate. Four of their tools are now public, and DARPA’s already hinting at more funding to move this out of the lab and into the messy real world.

That’s not just number-crunching; it’s cash-flow modeling, CRM upkeep, even trade vetting. In his shop, efficiency has jumped roughly 4× compared to the old manual grind. Big players - S&P Global, Goldman - are leaning in as well. Still, the consensus is that the more human-to-human parts of the job - empathy, relationship-building - aren’t going anywhere just yet.
